Pff, why the fuck did they have to split this season up on two. Incredible finale, incredible show.
Don finally got his pitch in, we had been waiting a full season for that. In the end it wasn't with Burger Chef, but with Ted.
@Ambroos SHOW SPOILER oh that's all definitely true and relevant, but I can't imagine the sendoff not having more weight. And I would agree that Don is gaining control over a lot around him, especially work, but I honestly believe that this is a sign of Don`s mental capacity slipping. It`s interesting to theorize.
@kenneththepage SHOW SPOILER It was mostly meant as a sendoff to the actor Robert Morse, who has an incredibly rich Broadway past. I think Don has been getting more and more in touch with himself the last few episodes and especially this one. Giving the presentation to Peggy, understanding what Megan meant with so little words and accepting it all, ... He's realizing the value of the people around him.
@Ambroos Really? I can't honestly think of any reason that would be in the episode other than that, at least not with this show's tone. SHOW SPOILER My feeling is that though Don is rising again in SCP, he is undoubtedly continuing to slip. Of course my thoughts are likely somewhat based on my desires, so i guess we'll see!
This season has been filled with amazing episodes, but this one was the absolute best. SHOW SPOILER Peggy's presentation made me cry, and then that last bit, however SHOW SPOILER comical it was, did too, even more.
@kenneththepage SHOW SPOILER I don't think he is, actually. That last bit was some creativity on the writers' parts, but mostly I feel Don is slowly and finally getting it all.
That was actually pretty scary
holy shit SHOW SPOILER don really is losing his mind
