@likwidsolutions Slighty disagree. He's the only starfleet captain who would do that because starfleet is still very new and doesn't have the rules and values yet the later shows would follow.
So I understand why the writers would let Archer do something like this in this time period, but they would have never done this in TNG with Picard when Starfleet had a clear set of rules and values.

And saying the first 2 seasons didn't feel like Star Trek is also weird, many episodes were basically rewrites of previous Trek Shows episodes

The storylines in Star Trek enterprise are getting a lot better. The first two seasons didnt even feel like Star Trek, but now it's starting to really feel like Star Trek again. Capt. archer is a badass, the only Starfleet captain that would rob another starship to get what he needs in desperation while earth is in danger.
