Police detective Michael Britten (Jason Isaacs) regains consciousness following a car accident involving his wife, Hannah (Laura Allen) and son, Rex (Dylan Minnette). Michael is told his wife died, while his son survived. Waking up the following morning, Michael realizes the survival facts have reversed. In an attempt to keep both of his loved ones alive, Michael starts living double-life in two realities, with different police partners and different conflicts in his personal life.

@emonquente I actually thought episode 6 was a step up from the previous 3. I guess it's a matter of preference, but I really enjoy the style of directing. It helps keep me engaged, as far as angles and movement are concerned. With lighting, it looks more like they've made it intentionally darker, which is kind of eh, but that looks more like post-production. Most of the scenes lighting looks fine. I really dislike people who throw "cop-dramas" under the bus because they're all the same. They are not all the same, it's just that you don't watch them. I agree about the main character, but then again, House is in season 8, the mentalist has been on for years, this show is on episode 7!!! Sometimes you just have to let characters develop a little more before making that kind of statement. if i remember House right, it took a good 10 episodes for Hugh Laurie to really grasp who his character is.
tl;dr, show's still very decent.
I enjoyed the first episode. . . but at this point (ep. 6) I just can't bear the poor direction, (everything from lighting to camera angles), lazy acting, sparsely clever writing, and unbearably repetitive therapy sessions -- Over-focusing a character flaw tends to happen and sometimes (House comes to mind, up until recently anyway) can be done well. It simply isn't done well here.
The show is a brilliant idea on the surface, but what it actually breaks down to is a cop-drama like any of the (what, 400?) others on the air right now. It's gimmick, as a direct consequence, really only breaks down to having two crimes per episode which share some of the same characters. Honestly, the fact that nobody is willing to trust him is the show's greatest weakness --- Without someone on the side of the main character's quirkiness, then there is no real way to advantage that quirkiness. Which is why Lisben in The Mentalist trusts Patrick almost unquestioningly; at the end of the day, House usually gets his way (and Foreman as dean of medicine is one of the reasons the show has gone to pot in my opinion); and everyone loves the Doctor--- because the shows don't work otherwise, and I just don't think this show works.
just saw the pilot... i liked it
I can't help but feel like the writers are going to end up disappointing us, but I like it so far. tonight's episode was very solid.
@StevieG Same here :) got the tip from a friend, not really amazed by the whole serie, but it's not bad either. Like ThibaultDC said it's a original concept and I'm going to keep watching it :^)
@StevieG I've seen the first episode. I'm not really 'hooked', so I'm waiting a while until more episodes have aired. It's all quite confusing in the beginning, but the concept is pretty original and innovative. Definitely going to continue watching in a couple of weeks!
@ThibaultDC @Flugelshizzl Opinions about this one? Sounds like a cool concept...
One thing I've noticed is that the show is very fast paced. Scenes tend to flow into each other nicely, and it's something I like a lot in a drama series.
Wow this is confusing..
airdate wrong, it just aired
