American Horror Story is a dramatic television series created and produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. The story focuses on a family that moves to a house Los Angeles, unaware that it is haunted.
The father, Ben Harmon (Dylan McDermott), is trying to deal with his wife's rejection after he has an affair with a student, and soon falls under the house's sway. Meanwhile, the wife, Vivien (Connie Britton), must not only try to forgive her husband but deal with the aftereffects of a miscarriage. The daughter, Violet (Taissa Farmiga), is confronted with hostile girls at her new school and befriends her father's disturbed teenage patient, Tate Langdon (Evan Peters). Lurking nearby is the neighbor, Constance (Jessica Lange), a former actress who both hates and is oddly protective of her special-needs daughter, Adelaide (Jamie Brewer), who can sense the house's evil.

@berachan You should really watch the latest episode before giving up! Without spoiling too much: a really scary "factor" got a lot less frightening, I think.
This season is way too scary for me. It makes me very nervous and uneasy. I don't know what it is ('cause the previous seasons had awful moments too) but I'm stopping right now. I'm very sad about it because I've always found something interesting to hold on but this time it's just unbearable!

@alexishondt it's not like everyone in the world is supposed to know english, you know that, don't you? if you really care about what they're saying maybe you should be the one learning another language (like every of us non anglophones do, learning yours)
even if this show is never good again i have to admit ill always watch it for Frances Conroy
I don't know what to think about season three, it was better organized than season two but not nearly as scary. And I didn't like the finale. I mean, I'm happy about the supreme buuuut I'm not totally satisfied. I don't know why. Jessica Lange was great though.
Fourth season is called Freak Show - Jessica Lange will play a German ex-pat running one the last touring freak shows in Florida in the 50's. Frances, Evan, Sarah, Angela and Kathy are all confirmed in it as well. Hopefully the show can recover with it
Terrible season, not sure I'm even gonna bother with season four.

Frankly, season three was pretty damn awful.
Season three was fantastic for the first ten episodes. Then it got slow and boring, and though the penultimate episode pointed it in the right direction, the finale flopped horribly. Sad that what started out to be the potential best AHS yet became possibly the worst. I still liked most of the season, and loved a lot of the characters, but I was very disappointed in that end. Im very excited for season four and I hope it's great!
The best part about the third season was the intro..

the first episodes of season 2 were good, then it was all gone until the very last ones, very good conclusion for a high-low serie!
