Started out amazing, was looking forward to it ... and then it just went downhill.
This show has embraced its crazy goofy nature and I'm having so much fun!
waste of time :(
Seems they did renew it for a second season:

Good show, took the wrong direction at the last minute. Could have been renewed, but I see why it was not.
It was an interesting watch.
Because the series already is canceled i didnt bother watching the full season, but instead scrolled through season 1, took about 30 minutes, enough to pause at all 5 or 6 major explanation parts about what happend, i dont have a feeling i wasted my time and have a thorough understanding of everything that happend. I dont feel i missed anything at all.
Its well deserved they canceled the series, they could have told a coherent story with a proper ending, but they decided to make it a mystery series , which is an autofail for 99% of sf stories.
From what i can tell none of the characters are likeble and the actors all suck, the main storyline would better have fitted a 3hrs miniseries, without all the drama. The series is a mix of 'the 100', the 'divergent' movies, 'the walking dead', 'the strain', 'under the dome', helix, ascension and '12 monkeys'.
I would have loved in they put money towards building cheap hightech sets, not just for the looks but also to make the story believable, nowadays you can build sets like the 'resident evil' movies cheap and i would like to have seen some interieurs like in 'million dollar listing new york. Together with throwing some philosophy at it to tell the main story (something like in the 2013 movie After the Dark 2013). And ofcourse fire all these well-known b-actors :)
helix, ascension, wayward pine: avoid them all
The ending is even worse than Lost..
Fox crapped all over it to force a season 2 for what was originally intended to be a 10 episode mini series then despite totally ruining the ending they decided not to renew it. What a huge waste of a rare tv gem.. I was in love with this show, now I'm heartbroken by this sh!!t ending.. I'm definitely going to buy the books now to enjoy the original story and ending..
I really hope there is no second season to this crap.
Wayward Pines: No Season Two for FOX TV Show
The 5th episode completly changed this show... Everything was just kind of borring and stuff, BUT NOW... OH DAYUM
Didn't like the show at first but the fifth episode wasn't that bad, could even work as a short in itself I think with that ending.
I have the feeling they could've easily reduced the first three episodes to one.
Now let's see what the rest brings.
This show is sooooo good, so far.
Dude. Just constantly order shit from Amazon until the town is overrun with UPS trucks. Lets see the crazies try to stay unnoticed than.
#ProblemSolved
I'm also not such a big fan of the trapped town/island concept, but somehow this has gotten met curious for more.
I am not a huge fan of the "trap town" concept. We'll see if this one lasts.
This looks interesting, unfortunately these "mysterious trap towns" don't have a good trackrecord regarding long runs (the prisoner, nowhere man, persons unknown, ...)
It's "inspired" on the episode of The Twilight Zone "Valley of the shadows", right?
