excellent article about some Netflix alternatives to find shows like daredevil https://thedigitalwanderers.com/beyond-netflix-discovering-other-streaming- services-for-your-binge-watching-fix/
They got the wrong actor for Kingpin. He's supposed to be FAT as a fucking house while still being like 2 meters tall or something. Not like this dude, who is just bald and a bit stocky. Fail.
Season 2 top all expectations. The punisher was awsome!
This show is so great, second season was even better. I need season 3, NOW.
It's actually a decent drama, and everything is much more compact -- more devoted to the story and less filler than similar shows. This is both good and bad, as I don't mind filler in television too terribly much, after-all, television is entertainment first and foremost. Plot always is backseat to just being able to keep making episodes.
Compared to The Flash? It kinda doesn't. That's almost like comparing the old Batman show to Tim Burton's Batman. You could, but you really shouldn't. Barry Allen is a whole different kind of hero, a goofball kid obsessed with being a 'hero'. Daredevil is more like a guy who is just out of his mind with rage.
I'm not a critic, I can't pinpoint everything, but to me the likability of this show is pretty straightforward: -- Well used backstory, little flashback vignettes that are generally more interesting than the present (much like Once Upon a Time) -- Strong characters with good actors portraying them, the world is quite consistent and believable, even where it departs from reality a little too far (cops are not some paramilitary merc group, and corruption is hardly so simple in modern times). And, it manages just the right amount of humour, and gives us genuine bits of it, relevant to the characters and their lives and so on. Which is really the best bit of the entire show. Also, as far as the stereotypical 'hero drama' goes about what it means to be a 'hero' and so forth. . . Daredevil takes a slant approach that softens the edges and stays away from the meat of the worst cliches, unlike say, The Flash, which has the full blown speeches about what it means and has already hit almost all the cliches.
Wauw , people that say it's too slow and boring really need to keep looking.
This is a Netflix TV series, not a weekly Episode Serie.
This is the first time that Netflix makes a 13hour 'movie' cut into episodes.
This is ment to binche watch. I want more like this

Didn't make it past ep3.....and even that took some effort. Too slow and boring sadly...
@MarinaB I couldn't agree more
Daredevil review https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5h0YSBg8Vbs
so i watched all 13 episodes... it was kinda slow and frustrating.
***SPOILERS***
I HATE that Daredevil doesn't kill anyone!!! like that fat douche who SO deserved to die! Plus he was super annoying. And Vanessa? HATE HER. She's so stupid! i can't believe she fell in love with the fat douche for real, i was expecting her to be the one actually pulling all the strings. On the plus side, i'm happy that the russian brothers, Leland and Nobu are dead, cause they were also terribly annoying. And the best scene from the season was Karen killing Weasley, i applauded her.
Foggy kinda grew up on me, i really liked Claire but it seems Rosario Dawson was just doing cameos... Matt's childhood story was really interesting (Stick was very intriguing), and finally, i was hoping Matt and Karen would get it on, but nope. Maybe next season.
I just wish we wouldn't have to see Fisk and Vanessa ever again...
@MarinaB exactly. Arrow SUCKED. Flash I couldn't get through even the first episode. daredevil pulled me in and has definitely been one of the better shows this year. the difference is that the writers in this show seem to have the guts to show more mature stuff than the other shows. not just gore but corruption, emotion and characters.
@KylieistBoi i think thats a bug its like that everywhere
The Foggy character absolutely is the worst I've seen ever. He is probably supposed to bring comic relief, but that is literally all he does and its making him utterly obnoxious.
I love how all the episodes have hundreds of votes but the show hasn't reached 10 votes yet, lol.
@MarinaB I agree with everything you said...in my opinion this is the best superhero based serie until now.
I don't understand why people praise childish shows like The Flash and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D (which have poor writing, terrible dialogues and the DUMBEST villains) and are on the fence about Daredevil, clearly darker and much more mature. 6 episodes in and I'm enjoying it better than the other superhero TV shows out there. It's not that I don't like Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and Carter or The Flash, I DO (even though I'm not a huge DC fan)... but those I can watch with my little cousins by my side and they will probably enjoy them even more than I do. They're fun and fast-paced, sure, but, all considered, Daredevil's writing is way more consistent, the action scenes are amazing and AT LEAST the villains aren't as ludicrous as in The Flash (e.g.). Anyway, the point being... for an underrated superhero as this one, the show is actually pretty good and deserves a chance.
Wow, talk about a boring show. It's slow, it has the most uninteresting "super hero" of all time, and the writing blows.
I honestly do not understand your comments... At first, I was really surprised to see how crazy good the reviews for this show are, but it's totally deserved. Imo the writing is great and it's building up perfectly. I also love the fact that this show is so much grittier and realistic than any other super hero show out there. This is how a Daredevil show should be.
(But I do love the actors, so I am not giving up yet.)
Like everything Marvel it's exciting, but the writing is lacking quality and the pacing of the scene cuts is completely off. I am currently at episode 2 and it somehow isn't really going anywhere. Also the villains seem kinda dumb.
