Living in the same universe as The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead is a gritty drama that explores the onset of the undead apocalypse through the lens of a fractured family. Set in Los Angeles, a city where people come to escape, shield secrets, and bury their pasts, a mysterious outbreak threatens to disrupt what little stability high school guidance counselor Madison Clark and English teacher Travis Manawa have managed to assemble. The everyday pressure of blending two families while dealing with resentful, escapist, and strung out children takes a back seat when society begins to break down. A forced evolution, a necessary survival of the fittest takes hold, and our dysfunctional family must either reinvent themselves or embrace their darker histories.

Season 6A has been seriously good! Definite turn around and worth getting through season 4 and 5 for.
I really don't understand why so many people keep asking what's the point of this show or say that it is boring..
The point is pretty much the same as TWD, it's the story of a different group of people surviving the new world they are living in, how they adapt and deal with it.
As for being boring, again it's pretty much the same as TWD in that department as well. These shows should have never been advertised as horror shows, they are dramas with action on the side, that's it.
But honestly I find FTWD a lot more tolerable than TWD. Perhaps the smaller group of characters is the reason for that.
People who hated Season 1, will not really warm to it in Season 2. I still cant see the point in making this. If it still doesn't show it's initial starting place. Then what was the point, and from then on it's just been like a load of people have decided to do a rushed, crap cover version of The Walking Dead.
this is nothing compared to the walking dead. it's good, and it has an amazing soundtrack, but the writing is so cheesy and the acting can use a little work

I have watched 4 Seasons of TWD, holding off watching the 5th, until slightly closer to the 6th airdate. Do you think I'll be alright watching FTWD? I wont miss anything for 1 season unfinished will I?
