Alright. Doesn't really matter I guess. I've decided I want to go through and finish as many series as I can before starting more new ones, anyway. Babylon 5, Farscape, Oz, The Sopranos, The X Files, The 4400, Las Vegas - basically whatever I have around 30 episodes or less left. Probably going with Babylon 5 first of those.
@Renegade412 Well I still want to watch DtB, but I saw Gankutsuou and just got really excited about watching it, so I'm going for that first. Plus, it's only 24 episodes, so it won't take too long. DtB is only 2 seasons, so it really should take that long either.
I found out which anime I am going to watch next after Evangelion (which I now know I already have seen, but barely remember) in case you want to get another group watch going.
It's called: Gankutsuou - The Count of Monte Cristo
I read something about this and thought it sounded awesome. I am a big fan of the Alexander Dumas book, it's simply amazing. I only hope this anime can capture the intricacies of the book. IT's a short show, so it shouldn't be too much work.
@Renegade412 He didn't really explain what he was.All he said was, "I am the one you call the world, the universe, god, truth, all, one, and I am you." he doesn't say that he is truth, or he is god, he just says that he's the one that they give that name to. I want to know why he wanted them to pay a toll. When they showed his body all blank with Ed's arm and leg, I thought that he was collecting parts of peoples' bodies to create a body to escape in or something. It just felt like they were going to reveal something more about him.
What do you need? For the Dwarf, his creation was the result of the experiment. For Truth, he told everything in each of his appearances. It's pretty well explained. What else could they have done? You don't need to see the experiment. You know the role of Truth. There's nothing else that needs to be said about them in the context of the series.
As for Truth (the blank guy), it's never really clear what he is either - Truth, God, the Universe, manifestations of the character, etc. Basically his role is explaining what the price is for whatever the people want to accomplish. Like a demon deal. He's there to tell you it will cost this much to learn how to do this. Guardian of the knowledge of the universe. Something like that.
"While it is never fully explored, the being that would later call itself Father was originally a part of the existence within the Gate. Using the blood of his slave Number 23, the Alchemist to the King of Xerxes managed to contain a small portion of the knowledge and life of the Gate within a flask, capable of existing in the physical realm."
Got that from the FMA Wikia. Don't go there until you finish both series though.
Before I continue FMA:B, I need to get a few things straight. I asked this a while back but no one answered, so I'll try again: They explained how Father was created, but they didn't explain where the Dwarf in the Flask came from, so what is it and where did it come from? Am I supposed to not know this yet? I know it came from Hoenheim, but how?
Also, whenever we see the portal, like when Al and Ed went through, they lose their body parts to a being that is blank for lack of a better word, but takes their body parts. Is that the same kind of being as the Dwarf?
You could do them story by story like you have been doing. They all are one story, but they are also their own separate stories. You can easily get by watching them apart. I would just try to watch each serial in one sitting, but not the whole Season. Basically it's just three or four serials strung together by a similar kind of format, and an arc.
Hey, the next old DW serial I have to watch is The Trial of a Time Lord. It's like... 14 parts and 4 different mini-stories in it. Anyway, I was wondering, do you think I should marathon the whole thing in as close to one sitting as I can? Or would it be better just to do them story by story, like The Mysterious Planet one night, then Mindwarp the next, and so on?

What happened to Darker Than Black? I have Gankutsuou in my list, but it'll be a while before I get to it, I think.

@Zelos I know, right? Who would've thought?
@likwidsolutions Oh my god! I'm so surprised at what #1 is!

My list is done, and number 1 is up. Really long writeup though, longer than DW : /

@Renegade412 Hmm, I was hoping that it would be explained. That's unfortunate.

are you liking the 6th Doctor? IIRC isn't Trial of a Timelord Colin's final season?

#2 is up on my list
@Renegade412 @yoryan have my FMA:B download finished, so I can finish that up. I should be able to start it soon.
@Renegade412 @yoryan Also my #4 is up.
@Renegade412 @likwidsolutions
I think I might join yall on Darker than Black after I finish Mirai Nikki.
