The Walking Dead - 2x05 Chupacabra

Chupacabra

Concerned for their safety, the group makes a plan – one that Hershel disagrees with adamantly. He makes it clear the group is fine to stay for now, but not indefinitely.

@oranges

I feel that everyone is free to post any comment they wish, but they also will be treated the way they present themselves. I was more commenting on curve telling Aiii that he shouldn't be commenting.

I am well aware of your comments recently and I didn't see them to be pointless. Stating your opinion the way you do is cool. You haven't been posting multiple times about it on the same page, you have the decency to pick your targets when they deserve it, and you walk away/go quiet when you deem it right. I respect it. I don't respect the way many others have been, on various shows.

I prefer to take every show on a case-by-case basis. Examples:

-I factor in articles that talk about people involved. (For example, this show has long been stated to pick up as the season goes on).

-The network a show is on makes a huge difference (As previously stated about this being on AMC). Since I am one of the few Americans, I may have a better understanding of this one thing, for the obvious reason of most of the popular networks/shows being American.

-What a show is actually about, makes a huge difference. As @Aiii stated, this is about, "people living in a post-apocolyptic world". If you watch the after show, they actually state that the people have no clue what they are doing and are trying to stay alive. They live in a world where this whole dealing with zombie thing is new to them and not that much time has passed since it all started. The most important man behind this show, Robert Kirkman, makes some appearances on it and does a lot of explaining.

-I care about many other things as well, like budget, potential, acting, etc. Too much to list, but also a lot that needs to be compiled before a true decision can be made.

I am running out of room. I will continue this in a new post.

@ColeFrost Thanks for the reality check. I feel guilty of pointless comments recently also :)

Having said that I still think this show is properly bad now, and I have stopped watching it. I love a good drama, but from what I've seen (only -2x03) everything just stopped. They were looking for the girl for a bunch of episodes, but not -really- doing anything about it. It is/was just a reason to stay put for a bit in my eyes. The car(s) could've broken down and it would have been the same. I remember a pretty pointless flashback to a school day. The entire shaving/showering/murder scene was predictable and unrealistic. Dialogue and character behaviour all-round.

Gosh I really do find this show just awful now. Anyway, just saying there are legitimate reasons to critique, or complain about a show. But I like your sentiment.

What's al this bias.. i still like the show, dont't see any difference with the previous season, if you dont like it then stop watching. Its a good show if you ask me.

@Aiii

I agree with you. People just don't get that this show is on AMC. Same network that does Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and The Killing. What do they have in common? None of them are fast paced. They are all dramas where people talk a lot and occasionally something big happens.

People got spoiled by the first few episodes and now they can't stand a little character building. The acting isn't poor and the story more or less fits what would happen if people ended up together in this type of situation.

@curve

I'm not exactly understanding why you and others are leading this sudden charge of having to pitch a fit about every show or episode you think is subpar, but it is quite annoying. You are telling Aiii that he shouldn't comment, well what about you? All your comments are complaints, tiny praises, or they simply point out that questions aren't being answered.

Maybe you should learn to sit back and see where something actually goes. There isn't a need to pitch a fit about every single episode you watch. As for all your questions, try doing some research. For example, this show has an after show called Talking Dead, which actually explains all these questions you seem to have about it.

I'm not saying this is a great show or praising any show on here, but if you don't like something, don't watch it. At this point, I am beginning to just mentally filter certain people on here that are bringing down the comments. I didn't care until you decided to call out Aiii, which was quite the joke.

Aiii you can't be serious right? There are so many flaws that it's ridiculous. If you don't see that you shouldn't comment on the quality of series.

It's not terrible at all. It's people's expectations of what the show is supposed to be about is what's terrible. This is a dramaseries about people living in a post-apocolyptic world. What it's not is a zombie slasher flick.
