Band of Brothers follows the path of Easy Company, an elite paratrooper unit, as they go from basic training in Camp Toccoa, to parachuting into D-Day, to their critical role in the Battle of the Bulge, and finally their triumph at the end of the war. They were one of the best trained and most successful units in all of American military history.

I've watched it for the first time now, but i either i've missed something or it's just not my thing. For me, it was an ok'ish series, but nothing great. I'm surprised i see people saying it's "the best mini series ever", but maybe that's because i don't really watch that many mini series.

@kakature Sure, but there's also human rights (like for dem gays and us similar folk) and a whole bunch else, so I drew my line :).

Band of Brothers is excellent.
You can use this and The Shawshank Redemption as 'filters' when meeting new people. Anyone that doesn't pass muster and love both can be considered unworthy of conversation IMO.
