Our entire way of life depends on electricity. So what would happen if it just stopped working? Well, one day, like a switch turned off, the world is suddenly thrust back into the dark ages. Planes fall from the sky, hospitals shut down, and communication is impossible. And without any modern technology, who can tell us why? Now, 15 years later, life is back to what it once was long before the industrial revolution: families living in quiet cul-de-sacs, and when the sun goes down lanterns and candles are lit. Life is slower and sweeter. Or is it? On the fringes of small farming communities, danger lurks. And a young woman's life is dramatically changed when a local militia arrives and kills her father, who mysteriously - and unbeknownst to her - had something to do with the blackout. This brutal encounter sets her and two unlikely companions off on a daring coming-of-age journey to find answers about the past in the hopes of reclaiming the future.

Liked the first season so bad :( The 2nd I watched bc of the idea/background and Monroe and Charlie ;)

I kinda liked it at the beginning, but towards the mid-season 2, it got way too boring, the only part that I actually liked was anything regarding the Nanites and Aaron, everything else was pretty much meh to me.
Are you guys serious? You actually think this is a good show?
The only reason I keep watching this show is because it is SO BAD. The only thing worse than the writing is the acting. It had potential at the beginning and was an interesting concept, but failed miserably in execution.

Don't remember when I got really hooked, if it was at the end of season 1 or at the beginning of the 2nd. It was this story arround aaron and his "power" that I liked a lot. But then season 2 got really boring an stayed that way so I am not really sad.

@nexexcalibur Yes actually this show got me hooked very slowly and I like Aaron and the thing about him. My main problem with the show was (is) that its so action based and this freaking Moroe SHOW SPOILER Siding with the most evil killer who still has nothing other in mind then controlling everyone just because he once was a friend is stupid and unrealistic, they should have killed him, I hate him.
But the show got slower and what came up story wise is cool IMO there was I pretty special episode lately.

This show is not really bad but if you compare it to Lost or The Walking Dead it actually is bad.
Total unrealistic elements like 50 people shooting through walls from 100 meter away instead just moving in and killing everyone in the face just bad scripted ...
I not really feel for any of all this characters, the show fails to establish bonds between the viewer and the characters. Also somehow I feel it progresses to fast, almost every episode people are dieing and it wents fast by like its nothing ... cant really decribe what it actually is but something makes it bad.
Also I find this concept of necklaces bringing back power pretty silly. I mean if you take Lost and the fantasy elements you might say its silly to to move a island and all this but they took a very long time to introduce it, before that they very well established all this great characters and created this incredible Atmosphere. Also having 3 actors (or more?) from Lost in it for me cries to compare it to Lost and this sucks. Of course the concept has way more in common with The Walking Dead it's basically the same without the zombies ;) Feels like its ripping of both if them in a poor way.
Here we have flashbacks as well to tell what happened before but it feels very poor.
There is no atmosphere somehow for me, something is missing and again I cant even really tell what it is.
And I bet Charlie will one day fuck this militia guy who follows her, it was pretty clear from the first scene they had together. I hate this über predictable things.
I am on episode 5 now btw. I guess I will watch it anyway but there is lost potential here for sure.

Hey guys, a really fun game you can play with this series while suffering through the episodes, is guess what the end of Munroe's (And other's) sentences are. The writing is so bad, you'll probably be right 75% of the time! I was getting pretty good!
Stopped following this, kept getting worse and worse and it wasn't really that good to begin with, shame, the setting had some nice potential
