Intelligence (US)

Intelligence (US)

INTELLIGENCE is a dramatic thriller starring Josh Holloway as a high-tech intelligence operative enhanced with a super-computer microchip in his brain.

With this implant, Gabriel (Holloway) is the first human ever to be connected directly into the worldwide information grid and have complete access to Internet, WiFi, telephone and satellite data. He can hack into any data center and access key intel in the fight to protect the United States from its enemies.

Leading the elite government cyber-security agency created to support him is Director Lillian Strand (Marg Helgenberger), a straightforward and efficient boss who oversees the unit’s missions. Strand assigns Riley Neal (Meghan Ory), a Secret Service agent, to protect Gabriel from outside threats, as well as from his appetite for reckless, unpredictable behavior and disregard for protocol. Other skilled members of the Cybercom team include Chris Jameson (Michael Rady) and Gonzalo “Gonzo” Rodriguez (James Martinez), two resourceful federal investigators. The brains behind the design of the chip is Dr. Shenendoah Cassidy (John Billingsley), whose son, Nelson (PJ Byrne), is jealous of Gabriel’s prominent place in his father’s life.

As the first supercomputer with a beating heart, Gabriel is the most valuable piece of technology the country has ever created and is the U.S.’s secret weapon.

Michael Seitzman, René Echevarria, Tripp Vinson, and David Semel (for pilot) are executive producers for ABC Television Studios in association with CBS Television Studios."

I never was so hugely pissed off about cancelling a tv show. I started this knowing that it has already been cancelled but the plot is original and the actors were all capable... I don't regret anything tho I'm soo disappointed it got cancelled :( Certainly first 3/4 eps could easily be made in 2 seasons but the finale... the last 4 eps were epic :D

“CBS completely butchered the air order for this show, which of course really hurt some of the plot threads and character development. If you have not started watching the series, or are just curious what the correct order is, here you go”:

01. S01E01
02. S01E06
03. S01E02
04. S01E04
05. S01E10
06. S01E03
07. S01E08
08. S01E11
09. S01E05
10. S01E09
11. S01E07
12. S01E12
13. S01E13

Well, I gave this show a try. It just doesn't leave me waiting for the next episode. My objective opinion is that it could get better, they have some fine actors.

@weltfremd I know, I saw that. Was it as bad as I'm hearing it is?

@az25 I wrote this comment before watching the first episode. Giving this show a try just means giving it a try, that's all I said, all I meant and all I did. But well... I stopped after episode 1.

@weltfremd that's like saying James Spader is the only reason to give The Blacklist a try. It is the only reason, but it still doesn't turn shit into cake.

Josh Holloway alone is reason enough to give this show a try.

Absolutely the most hilarious show on TV right now. Other than Revolution of course. Using cyber-magic and bad set extension lies Intelligence, CBS's childish foray into trying to stay relevant in the changing landscape of broadcast television. When it's bad it's hilarious. When it's worse, it topples into gut-wrenching absurdity. Definitely on my watch list this half of the American season for the best 'watch with a beer or three' show.
