@michaela I can't say it gets better, because it's always super great and delightful for me - it was love at first sight... But I guess if you're not into it, then you're not into it :(
@lizzymaxia I'm the worst! :D idk I've watched like 20 minutes but wasn't really into it? :( But I keep downloading it and I will definitely try again...
I was so worried. I figured you were either very busy (because it's taxes time) or mad at me for some reason (because you weren't answering my messages on Tumblr, if you ever got them). I'm sorry about your computer. More than a month without it? I wouldn't even last a week, I would be bored out my mind (but probably more productive in other areas of my life, lol wait, what other areas?). What did you do during this time? Reading books, doing taxes, tutoring, petting your cats and dog 24/7? :)
I'm doing... let's just say, I don't like how I'm doing and leave it at that. Yeah, you know. Same old, only worse? This isn't really an open space conversation anyway.
Anyway, I'm looking forward for you to get your Internet fixed, so we can catch up on talks, period dramas and stuff :)))
Of course The Devil' s Whore counts as the costume drama, but I watched it recently (as in: maybe a year ago?), and I basically snoozed my way through it, so umm, probably not the best idea to watch it again, sorry.
I'm okay with the rest (although much depends on findability of dl links), because I've never seen them ;) Yes, even Colin Firth's P&P, shame on me. So we're definitely watching this one.
Okay, here's more of my list (just putting some titles out there, not even sure if I want to watch them all):
17. Little Dorrit (2008; I've always wanted to watch it, because of Freema, but now I'm looking at the wiki page and oh my, what a lovely cast) 18. Birdsong (2012) 19. Great Expectations (2011) + the new movie with Holiday Granger and Helena Bohnam Carter, because I haven't seen it yet 20. Bright Star (2009; aka that movie I've been trying to watch for months now, but I never seem to be in the mood) 21. Becoming Jane (2007; we should probably watch this after Lost in Austen, to finish off our Jane Austen phase) 22. Crimson Petal and the White 23. Mystery of Edwin Drood 24. Wuthering Heights (2009) 25. The Pillars of the Earth / World Without End
eta. 26. Young Victoria (2009) 27. Anna Karenina (2012)
eta. 28. Austenland (2013) 29. The Jane Austen Club (2007) -- I recently watched it for the first time, but I'm adding it on the list anyway 30. Miss Jane Austen Regrets (2007)
Hey girl, I made a list of costume dramas to (re)watch!
1. Emma (2009) ✓ 2. Jane Eyre (2006) ✓ 3. North & South (2004) ✓ 4. Sense and Sensibility (2008) ✓ 5. Persuasion (2007) ✓ 6. Northanger Abbey (2007) 7. Mansfield Park (2007) 8. Lost in Austen 9. The Ruby in the Smoke 10. The Shadow in the North
The list is longer, but these I'd like to see with you the most; let's just get through them first and then we'll see :)
eta. You can suggest your own, of course! And we don't have to do them every weekend; for example I won't be able to watch anything this pre-Christmas weekend, and I'm not sure about pre-New Year's weekend also.
@lizzymaxia My sister watched it yesterday and she laughed a lot, so I decided to give it a try :D And sadly no, we don't have our own Stephen Fry... but we have Leoš Mareš http://i.imgur.com/AKmTR1n.jpg which is something... entirely different :D
Forbrydelsen is so great, but Czech dubbing uhhh... Danish is such a cool language, I loved hearing it. I'm sure you'll be able to find original version + English subs, but if you prefer a dubbed one, yeah, go for it. But I wouldn't recommend watching it straight away. Basically, the first case (Forbrydelsen covers it in the 1st season) is more or less identical, so watching the same story develop twice... idk, it could be tiring. The killer is different though! 2nd series is my favourite, I guess... the case is very interesting.... but it will break your heart to pieces. And then the 3rd, final one... omg, that ending, I'm still not over it. Haha, every series broke my heart one way or another, but s2 was the worst ;) But, oh, I loved it. I'm pretty sure you're gonna love it as well. Oh, and you've already met the original Sarah Lund! She is played by this lovely lady: http://lizzymaxia.tumblr.com/post/20466116264/if-i-had-known-you-were-comin g-as-deep-throat-i
Yeah, Simon/Alisha ending was sad and heartbreaking and yet it made sense as a storyline (these two make parallels and sex scenes really well). Although I don't agree with Kelly; I do not think that never-ending circle is dead romantic.
Is Young James Herriot worth watching? Does it have other things to enjoy than Iain de Caestecker's face and Tony Curran's accent?
Haha, my TV has started airing it, so I thought I would give it a try. I remember Poppy from Without A Trace and gosh, she looks so different now. But I do love the hair.

QI (CZ). Oh, look at that. But the question is, do you have your own Stephen Fry? ;)

Whhhhhy are you giving me bad news? :( (Joking, I figured they would bring me misery :/, it's pretty obvious!)
Do my eyes deceive me or are you marathoning Being Human US? I wouldn't be the one to "blame", would I? ;)

Catching up on Misfits during Christmas break, I see? :)

COULD YOU COME IN AND SNIFF MY FLAT? IT'S NOTHING SEXUAL, I JUST NEED SOMEONE TO SNIFF MY FLAT FOR ME. PLEASE, SNIFF IT!!
Dude, this show.
