From the mind of Aaron Sorkin, creator of The West Wing and screenwriter of The Social Network and Moneyball, comes The Newsroom, a behind-the-scenes look at the people who make a nightly cable-news program. Focusing on a network anchor (played by Jeff Daniels), his new executive producer (Emily Mortimer), the newsroom staff (John Gallagher, Jr., Alison Pill, Thomas Sadoski, Olivia Munn, Dev Patel) and their boss (Sam Waterston), the series tracks their quixotic mission to do the news well in the face of corporate and commercial obstacles-not to mention their own personal entanglements.

@aniforprez drama it's the main theme for this tv-series so it's understandable i think why people like the drama in it.I think that we like it because of the "real news" feeling it gives and the almost perfect chemistry of the actors
i'm not sure why people LOVE it
it's a decent show with good characters and a decent plot but oh god all the romances and drama. it would have been much better without the romance polygonal weirdness.
The third and final season will only consist of six episodes
Just realized that there are only nine episodes this year.
And just watched it, thinking, oh my god how good it has been and thank god next week will be another one, but no...
Very good season 2 ending. I will miss the show till it comes back.. A LOT.
