Seven noble families fight for control of the mythical land of Westeros. Political and sexual intrigue abound. The primary families are the Stark, Lannister, and Baratheon families. Robert Baratheon, King of Westeros, asks his old friend Eddard Stark to serve as his chief advisor. Eddard, suspecting that his predecessor had been murdered, accepts so that he can investigate further. It turns out more than one family is plotting to take the throne. The Queen's family, the Lannisters, may be hatching an incestuous plot to take control. Across the sea, the last surviving members of the previously deposed ruling family, the Targaryens, are also plotting a return to power. The conflict between these families and others, including the Greyjoys, the Tullys, the Arryns, and the Tyrells, leads to war. Meanwhile, in the north, an ancient evil awakens. Amidst war and the political confusion, a brotherhood of misfits, The Night's Watch, is all that stands between the realms of men and the horrors beyond.

@BertDenolf They have repeatedly changed things that have been annoying and frustrating to see different. I know what Stoneheart does in events the show has not gotten to yet and removing her changes things in a way that will not do the plots justice. They are cutting a character (this is also just one example) and many people are upset about that. You wanna watch? Awesome. But I and many others are done.

If they cut her it means she will not play an important role in the upcoming books either so people should stop crying about it. The show makers know what they're doing since they work together with GRRM

But people need to stop bitching about how this show sucks compared to the books and STOP SPOILING. The show is GREAT on it's own and people not reading the books are enjoying it immensely.

@MarinaB Yes yes!!! The first season was good and I felt so connected to the books then D&D just forgot that these characters existed elsewhere and decided to turn them into their own weird creations

Show is great but they cut to much from book in season 4, to many things and characters I think should have been are not in the show, and they changed some events. Good season and show but not even close to a book...

Judging by the Season 4 trailer, it seems this show will FINALLY give us some action, and not just talky talky talky.
