Of all the long-running procedural tv shows, this is the one that stayed the most consistently good.
The show generally takes progressive stances, but I do remember two instances that probably haven't aged well- In one episode, the takeaway is that asexuality doesn't exist. In another, the takeaway is that open relationships cannot work.
There might be other instances like this, but those are the two that particularly stuck with me.
Interesting premise, nice filming tone, but some of the story was a little lackluster. Tried to be a little too edgy at points which made it dull.
@ForgotMyLines +1
Charlyne Yi really can't act. I wonder how she keeps getting roles.
@Barbarin yes, s4e08
This is awesome!
The role of Hugh Laurie is the bes ever!
House has by far, the best series ending I've ever seen! I'm so grateful for this! Amazing how everybody (except for Cuddy) showed up again! Wonderful
In many episodes thay have lupus for suspect, but is there one episode with patient who had lupus?
Awesome show perfect ending....
Definitely, House's a show I'm gonna miss. It had a lot of drama to cope with since every episode featured a backstory for each patient, making the audience feel for them and actually fear for the health of procedural characters. At least, it was like that for me. Of course, the biggest strength of House was the fact that the show knew how to play its characters perfectly. I remember crying a lot to the season four finale, that was a masterpiece. Of course, as most shows, House also had it downfalls, which I consider them to be Season 5 and 7. I had to struggle to get past season 7, which was nice, because I ended up founding Season 8 very attractive. The end was bad ass, and I'm glad that the Wilson/House relationship prevailed. Anyway, these eight years were a great, thrilling house. There's no medical drama like House.
@Silenia Let us agree to disagree.
I didn't like the last season of House that much. The middle of the season was better, but in general it was inferior to some other seasons of House. Story wise and cinematic, especially the last episode was cinematographic quite poor.
But let me be clear, I do respect your opinion. And I did like House MD series very much! From season 4 until the end the character of house was more complex and more worked out than in early seasons. Its not only in the last one the worked on House back story.
@Marsmillo it ended more than well, gtfo. and maybe on 2-3 episodes the serie made some turns, however the last seasons were the best of the serie by exposing House as character and not pursuing the medical dillemas which was the main target in the previous seasons.
It was time the series ended, S8 was quite bad and the final episode of House was atypical for the series. Will remember the better episodes and seasons instead of this one!
@furbul It was necessary to create some empathy I think.
I'm gonna miss Hugh Laurie :(
@Leizer Yes, exactly. That ending was just unnecessary.
The last episode should have ended 3 minutes before the actual ending. That's what I can say without spoiling ...
This was.. . .brilliant. goodbye Dr. House.
So nobody has no idea what the finale will look like!
I guess there will be a badass case. And Wilson may die
What will happen to house!!!
!!! LOVED the new episode <3
